Chloe is a French luxury fashion brand founded by Gaby Aghion and Jaques Lenoir in 1953. Prior to Chloe's launch, the fashion world was dominated by haute couturiers whose made to measure items could only be afforded by the elite.
Aghion' first collection went against the norm when she created a line of off the rack, high quality, body conscious clothes from fine fabrics, which she called 'luxury prêt-à-porter' and thus, the term Prêt-à-Porter (Ready-To-Wear) was coined.
The most recent design director who transformed Chloe into the successful fashion powerhouse it is today was British designer Claire Waight Keller, who worked there from 2011-2017.
Current Creative Director: Natacha Ramsay-Levi
