After being appointed CEO of the luxurious Burberry brand, Angela Ahrendts, was since May 1, 2014, senior vice president responsible for Apple stores as well as online sales. Apple recently announced that Ms Ahrendts was leaving the house five years after her arrival. However, the reason for leaving was not communicated. Apple has only stated that she is embarking on "new personal and professional activities" It is true that the year 2018 was turbulent for the American multinational. It was the first company in the world to gain a valuation of one trillion dollars in August but still experienced a decline in sales since the end of 2018.
The year will have been a triumph for Angela Ahrendts, who has regularly participated in press conferences to present new highlights, events or novelties from the giant with the apple logo. Her initial arrival at Apple was a big change for her, as she had no technology background and was previously her own boss. She still managed to find her place in an area that she did not know well. She was the only executive woman at the Apple manufacturer with a salary double than that of Tom Cook, the CEO of Apple. He said nice words to the former Senior Vice President: "I want to thank Angela for inspiring and energizing our teams over the past five years. It has been a transformative force for both Apple stores and the communities they serve. We wish her all the best for her to start a new chapter."
